One and only unique floating houseboat destination in the entire Northeast. The first construction of this houseboat in Meghalaya started in the year 2007 but it took completely 1 years. It has been inaugurated in 2008. The entire wooden interiors have been made of Sal trees. The cosy wooden interiors, ceiling glass windows is immensely beautiful. The Boathouse offers a unique stay away for the chaotic lifestyle connecting with the nature calm and peaceful environment.
One can sit out on the porch and watch the entire lake. Staying in the middle of nowhere the house is generated only by the solar panels and has a caretaker to serve the food and other necessities. One should know that there is only one room, extra mattresses are provided for the rent. This place is the perfect place for the couples, friends and families to spend the leisure time in Meghalaya.
